PB Heads to India for a Track Masterclass with Aerreo (Atlantic, Armada, Cr2)

In coming weeks we’ll be joining Point Blank graduate and Indian Producer and DJ Nikhil Mehta aka Aerreo for a special production insight into his progressive dance anthem ‘Alpha’, released late last year on Armada Trice. The original track was produced alongside fellow producer Disfunktion and vocalist Jannika, with an additional alternative mix produced solely by Aerreo. For this special filmed session, Aerreo will be sharing some of the key elements of the track, giving us an insight into his creative approach to the remix and working with the vocals as part of the arrangement. Stay tuned to our YouTube channel for the resulting masterclass, and in the meantime take a listen to the full track below (and you can buy/stream it here).

Aerreo hails from Chandigarh, India and made the journey to London to study our International Music Production and Sound Engineering Diploma in 2014. Since then he’s forged a strong reputation worldwide with releases on labels including Starter Records, Cr2 and Armada Trice. His tracks have been supported by the likes of Blasterjaxx, Bassjackers, Nicky Romero and Tiesto, and he has featured as one of the top 10 Indian artists to look out for by leading online dance music portal Bangin Beats.

With a remix of Rockie Fresh and Chris Brown forthcoming on Atlantic Records, Aerreo’s production credentials are growing ever stronger and we’re delighted to have a successful Point Blank graduate back with us to show us how he’s developed his approach to production since learning his craft with us.

On his time at Point Blank, Aerreo has no doubt his studies were of great benefit: “It was a life changing experience. I believe all the people I met played some role in my journey so far. The things I learned in London, whether it was from my instructors or fellow classmates have helped me reach where I am today. The course was very hands on which gave me much needed insightful knowledge on various aspects of music production like mixing, sound design and most importantly music theory. I owe this to my instructors, who were so skilled and well informed about what they were teaching. The overall environment at Point Blank was very positive, everyone was so friendly and passionate about the one thing we all love – music.”
