Watch Sweatson Klank Speak on Teaching and Mentorship at PBLA from High Fidelity Records

Fresh off the back of his latest release on the LA label Friends of Friends, Tom Wilson AKA Sweatson Klank talks to us about his role as an instructor at Point Blank LA. He’s been with us since the very beginning of PBLA back in 2015, and embodies the kind of supportive atmosphere we try to create, as well as the individual success in music that all of our instructors share.

In the video, Tom gives an insight into the kind of relationships built at the school between students and how he tries to take on the role of mentor with students even after they’re done learning with us. He also invites us into his favourite LA record store High Fidelity to meet one of his own mentors in Sacred. Importantly, he also makes the point that all of our instructors are working music people, so the advice given to our students is always up to date with the current climate in music.

Tom Wilson has a wealth of experience in the music industry, composing music for apps, video games, commercials, television and film, while as Sweatson Klank, he has shared the stage with the likes of Mos Def, Just Blaze, Kode 9, Little Dragon and Flying Lotus. His latest release ‘Then I Was Me’ is out now.
