Back in October, we brought you the first of two exclusive masterclasses in collaboration with the renowned Morley College. Building on the success of the first session, we will be hosting the second session at our brand new second London studio complex with Tom Kingston of Solomon Grey (Sony, Black Butter) and Adam JB (Eric Prydz, Channel 4), focusing on Music Production for Film and Live Performance. Tickets for this workshops are free but extremely limited! Register via the Eventbrite page to secure your free ticket, which takes place on 26th February at 6:30pm on Friday 26th February at The Hub, Point Blank Music School, 26 Orsman Road, London, N1 5QJ.
Tom Kingston of Solomon Grey (above) and Adam JB will both host workshops as part of a free event at Point Blank on February 26th
London based composer and sound designer Adam Janota-Bzowski holds numerous commissions to his name with clients that include Adidas, Microsoft, Channel 4 and EA Games. His work features on award-winning animations, short films, theatre, games and TV. As a producer his music has gained him notoriety on both sides of the Atlantic, playing at major UK festivals as well as the renowned Low End Theory in Los Angeles and San Francisco. In the first workshop, Adam will be discussing some of the techniques used on his composition for Volvo’s Life Paint commercial which went on to win two Grand Prix awards at Cannes Lions 2015.
As one half of Solomon Grey, Tom Kingston has enjoyed success both as an acclaimed soundtrack producer (recently scoring the BBC’s three-part drama ‘The Casual Vacancy’) and as a boundary-pushing pop act with releases on Black Butter and Sony, described by Zane Lowe in 2014 as “the future of Radio 1”. Tom will be diving into a breakdown of how strings are incorporated as part of their live performances.
