2015 is well underway and it’s time for our first Friday Forum Live of the year! We’re kicking it off with our deconstruction wizard and Electronic Music Composition (EMC) instructor Ski Oakenfull who’ll be tearing apart Moderat’s haunting modern classic Bad Kingdom. This time, he’ll be using new-DAW-on-the-block Bitwig Studio to work his magic. Tune in at 1pm on Friday 23rd January to learn more. We’ve also got Volker, one of Bitwig’s lead developers, who’ll be answering your questions in the comments section!
Ski will be re-building the track, showing how the synth sounds were made and how the arrangement came together. If you want to learn more about music composition, key signatures, scales, arrangement and more, our EMC module – part of our wider diploma courses – is the perfect choice. Developed by Ski, it’s all about understanding musical structures through deconstructions of famous tracks as well as modules on rhythms, riffs, melodies and more. It’s available as part of both our Ableton and Logic Pro diplomas which you can find out more about here.
