Building on the massive success of our previous PBLA Open House events, including March’s masterclass with Native Instruments’ US Product Specialist Kooli and February’s session with Low End Theory’s Daddy Kev, we’re gearing up for another exclusive Open House on Saturday 14th May. This time our Point Blank Los Angeles school will be welcoming Ableton Certified Trainer Brian Markman, an experienced engineer, producer and DJ who teaches across all aspects of Ableton Live with an emphasis on live performance including DJing as well as integration with VJ software and Max for Live.

The event will start at 12:00pm at Mack Sennett Studios, 1215 Bates Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90029. Tickets are free and available to the general public – grab your FREE ticket here.
To kick things off, you’ll get to meet our expert instructor team, with introductions from Computo (Flying Lotus, A-Trak, Zedd), Bon Harris (Nitzer Ebb, Smashing Pumpkins) and Sweatson Klank (Project: Mooncircle). They’ll give you insight into their industry experience and crucial information on the courses students will potentially be studying.
Next, we’ll hand things over to Ableton Certified Trainer Brian Markman. Markman began his career over 12 years ago playing records in acid jazz clubs before graduating to raves where he played drum’n’bass. Throughout his career technology has been a key force, and in 2011 he became an Ableton Certified Trainer. He now teaches both engineering and production students the most effective ways to implement software to help them realise their desired goals.
To round things off nicely, Course Advisor Hart Thorson will give a guided tour of PBLA so you can see the production stations for yourself. If attendees have any questions about courses, they can ask the instructors directly and get all the information they need.
