Central to our new facility at Orsman Road is the additional cutting-edge music technology, which enables our students to get to grips with the leading equipment that the industry has to offer. SSL recently announced Point Blank as an official partner, and we’re proud to say that we are the only school in the UK with a 48-channel SSL Duality Delta SuperAnalogue™ console installed within their studios.
If you want to start learning on the best equipment in the business, you need to enrol on our Complete Master Diploma. It’s our most comprehensive course, and is delivered in our brand new second studio complex in London. If you haven’t been to see it yet, you can book yourself on a tour here. If you’d like to find out more, you can call 020 7729 4884. If you’re an international student, please call +44 20 7729 4884.
The Duality is housed in Studio 1, with the adjoining live room ensuring that the space can be used both as a studio and a classroom in one. This is the primary space where our Diploma students gain first-hand experience of using the desk within our advanced sound engineering and mixing modules. The Live Room also includes come classic kit like Gretsch drums, VOX and Orange amps, an Ampeg bass amp and a range of guitars.
The SSL desk, together with an Audient ASP8024 – 48 channels fitted with ASP8024-DLC (Dual Layer Control for Moving Fader Automation and DAW control) – within Studio 2, enables our Diploma students to use industry-leading equipment alongside Pro Tools, Ableton and Logic.
Outside of these Studios, other facilities include an entire classroom fitted with Ableton Push 2 and Maschine units ensuring that students will graduate with comprehensive practical experience of the very best studio hardware alongside their study time at Point Blank.
The super cool Hub area enables students from different disciplines to chat, network and collaborate, giving them a head start in building a career and making valuable connections within the industry even before finishing their studies.
We also have our brand new dedicated radio studio – equipped with a Sonifex S2 radio broadcast desk, and all student workstations include Ableton Push and Traktor S2. We’re not messing about! All students have access to project studios to practice and run sessions – and each production room is fully equipped with NI Machine Studio, Ableton Push 2, Novation BassStation 2, Universal Audio Apollo Twin, Roland TR8 and TB3.
