More big news for Summer ’16. pointblank and International Music Summit will be partnering to create IMS College Malta, a new education initiative that will take place on the island from July 1st – 3rd. Across these three days, aspiring electronic music professionals, DJs, producers, singers and enthusiasts will be able to attend a unique new summit with a focus on educating and inspiring the next generation of industry leaders. Occurring across various venues, the programme of seminars, immersive panels and interactive sessions will be accompanied by a schedule of unmissable parties running throughout the weekend, courtesy of some of the biggest names in electronic music.

Confirmed names due play at this stage include Radio 1’s Pete Tong, Diynamic boss Solomun and internationally renowned DJ and Saved label head Nic Fanciulli. There will also be practical sessions and workshops, including music production focus sessions. pointblank will be bringing the musical expertise of lead course developer Ski Oakenfull to IMS College Malta with Ski hosting a special deconstruction masterclass in Ableton Live. In this session, Ski will break down the musical sounds and techniques used in a recent classic dance track – previously he’s broken down tracks from the likes of Kraftwerk, Moderat, Caribou, Disclosure and many more. pointblank will also be hosting Ableton masterclass sessions with producer and pointblank instructor Stefano Ritteri, who is best known for his releases on Defected, Exploited and Dirtybird, together with artist panels and masterclasses hosted by pointblank’s own Declan McGlynn.
