The results are in and Point Blank has scored full marks for satisfaction in the latest National Student Survey (NSS), with 100% of our students involved in the survey being satisfied with the quality of our participating HE courses versus the 79% average score for UK Music courses.
The NSS gathers student opinion about Higher Education courses, which includes our BA (Hons) Music Production & Sound Engineering degree offered in London and as an online degree, both of which are validated by Middlesex University. The survey is designed to give students an opportunity to give feedback on the institutions they are studying at, providing prospective students with honest data to assist them in making an informed decision when selecting where to study. The quality of the course is one of 27 core questions within the survey and a key indicator of overall experience, and we’re delighted that we’ve excelled in this key area.
Point Blank significantly outperformed the sector benchmark for course satisfaction
In addition to course satisfaction, we also received a 100% rating in response to the question: ‘my course has provided me with opportunities to apply what I have learnt,’ highlighting that our HE students make full use of our extensive network of industry contacts and our regular student opportunities. In fact, Point Blank performed well above average across every category of question, scoring 100% in Academic Support, 100% in Teaching, 97% in Learning Opportunities, 93% in Organisation & Management, 80% in Learning Resources and 90% in Student Voice.
This is a fantastic achievement and something we are very proud of. We appreciate all student feedback as we strive to make sure our study experience is highly positive, fulfilling and ultimately leading to tangible success upon graduation. Among recent initiatives, we’ve also appointed five new student reps to further improve the communication for questions, concerns and suggested improvements for those studying the degree course at Point Blank.
