MTV Breaks are Searching for an Up-and-Coming DJ to Play the Main Stage at this Year’s Isle of MTV Malta
Do you want to showcase your DJ skills on the Main Stage at this year’s Isle of MTV in Malta? MTV Breaks have approached Point Blank with the news that they’re searching for an up-and-coming young DJ to do just that. Carlone Music Are Looking for a Work Experience Sound Engineer
Carlone is an expanding west London-based company looking to recruit a Work Experience Sound Engineer with a view to employment. This is a diverse and exciting role to work alongside a professional Sound Engineer with over 19 years experience in the Events and Music industry. Due to work demand and an expanding Music Studio in West London, a Work Experience Sound Engineer is required to grow into many diverse roles covering the following areas:
1. Sound Engineering Studio Sound & Live Sound
Carlone require a responsible, composed individual with a good sense of hearing and understanding of musical pitch, timing and rhythm. In the Music Studio your role would include planning recording sessions with producers and artists, setting up microphones and studio equipment, learning to operate recording equipment, mixing tracks and producing a final ‘master’ track. You will be responsible for equipment maintenance for the smooth running of studio sessions to ensure they are free from technical problems. Reporting any equipment issues and ensuring that required repairs are made.
As the Assistant Live Sound Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is prepared, set up and dismantled for events. You will be involved in the mixing of sound in real time as it is performed for the audience. The ideal person will need to be flexible about working hours, which could be irregular; you will be required to work evenings and weekends depending on workload.Many of the live performances are currently taking place in one of London’s most prestigious venues so being on the ball and resourceful is most advantageous.
2. Audio Hardware Installations & Maintenance
The ideal person will have a keen interest in pro audio and audio equipment, you will enjoy problem solving, be able to follow instructions precisely and be hands on. Currently installation of pro audio systems and audio systems is taking place in clubs, bars, churches, music studios and restaurants. Working to deadlines you will need good organizational skills and be able to work under pressure.There will be opportunities to train customers on systems and to liaise with customers regarding maintenance if needed.
This is an opportunity to work with some great people and become part of an expanding and exciting team. There are several opportunities to learn in an expert environment and to gain confidence in the skills of Sound Engineering and Pro Audio & Audio Installations & Maintenance. Interested?
