At Point Blank Music School, we look forward to the National Student Survey (NSS) results every year. This survey is an essential measure of student satisfaction across UK higher education providers, evaluating teaching quality, learning opportunities, and student support. Its findings help guide prospective students and showcase a provider’s commitment to ongoing improvement.
We are delighted to announce our exceptional performance in this year’s survey. Here’s a comparison of our 2024 results with those from 2023:
Teaching on Our Courses
Our teaching score has improved from 86% to 88%, approximately a 2% increase. One of the questions in this category includes “How good are teaching staff at explaining things” and Point Blank received 98% – showcasing the high calibre of our lecturers. Learning Opportunities
Our learning opportunities boast fantastic growth from 81% to 88% within the last year — an excellent testament to our determination to improve course content and associated opportunities for all students. Most excitingly, we are also ranked first in this category amongst other schools.
Assessment and Feedback
Our score exhibits an increase from 87% to 88% after careful changes to improve course organisation. For questions regarding the quality of assessment and receiving feedback on time, we’ve scored above 92%. A sure sign of year-long meticulous effort in prioritising students’ assignments and providing expert feedback.
Freedom of Expression
Our student voices matter to us greatly – hence why we’re proud to present that we scored 91%. Nothing feels better than knowing our students are free to express their ideas, opinions, and beliefs. Additional Report Findings
On an individual degree level, not only did our 2-Year Music Production and DJ Performance degree (London) achieve 100% on Freedom of Expression, but our Music Production and Sound Engineering Degree (Online) was also rated 100% for Freedom of Expression and Mental Wellbeing Services! Most impressive scores that we look forward to keeping up!
