Welcome to our roundup of mixes you need to hear this month, where we spotlight some of the best that electronic music has to offer in the form of forward-thinking track selections, pure club annihilation and new, unreleased cuts from our favourite artists.
If you’re looking to learn the ins-and-outs of DJing and create your own DJ mixes, we can help. We offer a number of courses focussed on just this, so If you’d like to check out our DJ courses and find out which one’s best suited to you, head here.
In Session: Sweatson Klank
Our very own Sweatson Klank has taken the reigns for this month’s Mixmag In Session mix series, to celebrate the release of his new album, Path Of An Empath. Throughout his hypnotising hour-long mix for the music tastemakers, Sweatson Klank treats us to a range of luscious soundscapes, ambient atmospherics and otherworldly beams.
LTHL for Religion Studio
Wave scene hero, LTHL, jumped on the buttons for the New York independent platform Religion Studio earlier this month – and he did not disappoint. His mix for RS features tracks from Dark0, Bulma, Eone, Wen, Jook and or course, LTHL himself.
Garneau – Das Booty Guest Mix
In his guest mix for the Das Booty Valentine’s Day special, Vancouver’s Garneau showcases just over an hour of ghetto tech jams, acid house and enough rap vocal chops to get you feeling fully hyped. Tune in to hear club tracks from Boddika & Joy Orbison, Sir Spyro, Nikki Nair, Ghostwhip, Garneau and others.
If you’re a Point Blank student who’s feeling inspired by these mixes and fancy having one of yours featured on the renowned Pioneer DJ Radio or Magnetic Mag, be sure to send them over to us.
