Arturia Modular ARP 2600 Tutorial – Part 2: Sound Design Techniques

We’re back with a four-part tutorial series, in which pointblank Course developer and instructor Dan Herbert will be looking at two of Arturia’s modular plugins, the ARP 2600 and the MOOG Modular. These powerful plugins are a fantastic way to get into the wonderful world of modular synthesis and we are here to guide you through your first steps. If you’d like to learn more about synthesis, Dan Herbert teaches sound design on our BA (Hons) Music Production and Sound Engineering Degree.
In part two of our new series Dan Herbert dives deeper into Arturia’s ARP 2600 plugin, creating different sounds from scratch and showcasing some of the things you can learn on the sound design module on ourBA (Hons) Music Production and Sound Engineering Degree. Dan runs us through the sequencer’s features and functions, creating an arpeggio pattern and layering sounds to create three of his own unique sounds. Don’t forget to stay tuned for the next in the series, where we will be moving on to Arturia’s emulation of the legendary MOOG Modular.
