This week for Friday Forum Live, we are joined by Point Blank graduate Kells for a deconstruction of his recent remix of ‘Transform’ by AMANI. The producer has gone from strength to strength in recent months, and for the team at Point Blank Recordings it was a no-brainer to have him remix AMANI for their first release. His remix adds a moody garage swing to AMANI’s delicate original, turning the EP’s fragile, blooming opener, into a moody brooder. We loved it, so we’ve asked Kells to come and deconstruct the remix for us. As a former student of ours we know he has spent many Friday afternoons watching these tutorials, so hopefully, he’s as excited as us for this weeks edition of FFL.
If you’re as inspired and impressed by Kells as we are, why not check out our courses and see what we can do to help you get to his level. Kells studied the Music Production & Sound Engineering Diploma , but we also offer a fully accredited BA (Hons) in Music Production and Sound Engineering, in association with Middlesex University. If you’re not in London you could study our online alternative. If singing and songwriting like AMANI is more your thing, you can study that in London, or perhaps try a course in Music Composition if you’d like to learn how to build tracks like hers.
