At Point Blank, not only do we make sure our students have access to the best facilities with the latest music production equipment, expert instructors who’ve worked with everyone from Bob Marley to Kanye West and incredible industry opportunities and discounts, we also make sure our students get real-life experience in the music and recording industry.
That’s why we teamed up with Goldie – DnB legend and friend of PB – to give our students a chance to help record drums for an upcoming project. The result was an inspiring and insightful session with Goldie recording three drummers simultaneously at Assault and Battery studios in North-West London.
As usual there were some choice moments from Goldie, remarking: “When you think about Point Blank now, 20 years ago a school like that would never exist – and that is a really strong thing.” Course instructor Anthony Chapman echoed Goldie’s sentiments: “Back then, the technology wouldn’t have been capable of doing what we’re doing today. Now I can export all the stems tonight and the production team can get to work straight away.
