DJ Billy ‘Daniel’ Bunter is a pioneer of the rave scene. He’s been a part of dance culture since the beginning and has played some of the UK’s most iconic 90s rave parties including World Dance, Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Raindance, Slammin Vinyl, Rezurection, United Dance, Desire, Hardcore Heaven and more. He’s been in the game for over thirty years, sold over a million records and produced tracks and remixes for the likes of The Prodigy, Slipmatt, Force & Styles, Technotronic, Ragga Twins and more. His passion for the scene and ability to blend old and new skool has kept the magic alive and his light burning bright throughout the years. Daniel’s DJ ethos is simple: “Get the party jumping, and give the dance floor goosebumps with tune after tune.”
During the video, Bunter pulls back the curtain on the beginnings of his career from bunking off school and visiting record shops to discovering pirate radio and being part of the acid house scene. He talks about his residency at at the legendary Labyrinth warehouse event in London and how his DJ sets inspired the likes of Slimzee, Wiley, Chase & Status and more to hit the studio. From his influential DJ sets he’s gone on to become a top 40 producer, successful record label owner, promoter of sold-out events at Electric Brixton, Ministry of Sound and more.
