Point Blank Los Angeles & NAMM 2016 Trip

Last month, a few lucky members of the UK Point Blank team headed across the pond to catch up with the PBLA team and check out the latest and greatest new equipment at NAMM 2016. Our school in Los Angeles is looking awesome, so if you’re in the area you should definitely come have a look around. When you enrol before March 31, you can get 20% off all courses and save yourself a hefty $1,600.

3 Ways to Beat Creative Block w/ Stefano Ritteri (Defected, Exploited, Congaloid)

No matter what style or genre of music you make or write, one thing is for certain: you’ll encounter creative block. It can be extremely frustrating especially if you only have a small amount of time to make music. Luckily for us, there are loads of tools within the modern DAW to help you get over the hump. In the video above, we were joined by PB instructor and producer/DJ Stefano Ritteri (Defected) to look at three ways to beat creative block in Ableton Live.

The Revenge (DFA Records, Poker Flat Recordings) – Live Performance Interview

The Revenge is a disco house legend. Label owner, remixer, producer, DJ, live performer and master of the edit, Graeme Clark has been creating some of the finest club music in the UK since 2004. With his self-released debut album ‘A Love That Never Dies’ winning Best Album at DJ Mag’s Best of British Awards, we figured it was time to invite him to PB towers to find out how his dynamic live show works. Watch the video interview above and make sure you subscribe to our channel for more interviews and live events.

Instructor Profile: Seamus Haji (Defected, Toolroom, Rihanna)

Point Blank prides itself on providing the best instructors and who better than Seamus Haji to teach our Music Business Intermediate module – part of our wider Complete Master Diploma course in London. Seamus has been part of the industry since 1993 and has remixed huge artists like Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Robyn, Mariah Carey, Craig David and many more. To top it all off, we’ve got a brand new second school for you to study in. Find out more and book a tour here.

Free Ableton Live Plugin: AnalogCopier

When Max for Live was introduced, it allowed users to crack open Ableton Live and create your own instruments and effects as well as hack into its functions and features. Our resident Max for Live expert and PB instructor Dan Herbert has built heaps of free plugins for Ableton Live and his latest, the AnalogCopier, is as simple as it is ingenious. Check the video above to find out how it works and make sure you download it here!
