We wanted to make sure that you’re aware our Singing instructor and Grammy Award winner, Phil Ramocon, is hosting open mic nights as a weekly thing at The Haggerston Pub, 438 Kingsland Road, London, E8 4AA. The next event takes place tonight (Tuesday March 29th), with these sessions happening every week on a Tuesday evening, with sign up from 8pm for an 8:30pm start. Come down and say hi!
If you’re interested in studying Singing with Point Blank, our Singing Certificate is the course for you. It’s a comprehensive 6-month programme, developed and taught by experts like Phil Ramocon himself. Recently, Singing student Lola Saunders wowed the judges on The X Factor, following in Leona Lewis’ footsteps who also studied with us. PB instructor and open mic night organiser Phil Ramocon is an Ivor Novello award and a Grammy award winning singer songwriter who’s worked with a range of high profile artists such as Jamelia right through to to reggae legends Bob Marley and Jimmy Cliff. He co-wrote ‘Buffalo Stance’ with Neneh Cherry for which he won an Ivor Novello award and a Grammy. ‘Buffalo Stance’ has also recently been featured in Grand Theft Auto. Phil is involved in both remix and production work and is a hugely experienced instructor, ready to teach you all the skills you need to become an accomplished singer and songwriter. Head down to the open mic night tomorrow night and make yourself acquainted!
