At Point Blank we believe it’s crucial to provide a platform for the next generation of music producers, which means we’re constantly searching for undiscovered talent to support. Now we’re offering the community at Plugged In – our own social network for electronic music producers – a chance to get your their tracks featured on a brand new Monthly Showcase playlist, hosted on PB’s Soundcloud Page. These playlists will also get valuable exposure across Point Blank’s social network including Point Blank Plus, and it goes without saying that the winning entries will be considered for forthcoming release on our label Point Blank Music.
In addition to that, two lucky entries will be selected to have a Direct Video Response (DVR). This is a customised response from one of Point Blank’s instructors offering constructive advice on a subject of your choosing ranging from production, mixing and mastering, composition right through to music industry tips on branding and promoting your tracks.
How to Enter
- Make sure that you are a registered Plugged In user – head here to register if you haven’t already, it’s absolutely free!
- Head over to the tracks page
- Post a Soundcloud link to your tune
It’s as simple as that! The choice of genre, track name and track length is totally up to you.
Your entry will then be judged by a Point Blank panel consisting of Plugged In moderators, Point Blank Instructors and PB Music’s A&R. The panel will then choose eight tracks every month to be included on Plugged In Monthly Showcase based on:
- Overall quality of the track
- Votes and listens on Plugged In
The winners will be announced on Plugged In on the start of each month, with results of the very first showcase revealed out on Wednesday 1st June 2016.
