We’re very excited to announce a run of two special events happening at Point Blank Los Angeles this December. We will be hosting two free-to-attend events including a Sound Design taster and Open House as part of the ‘Point Blank Los Angeles Event Series‘. These taster sessions – which are held direct at our LA school in Mack Sennett Studios – will give a first-hand insight into what you can learn on a wide range of our courses in Los Angeles. Sound Design Course Sampler w/ Joe Computo – December 4, 7pm
We kick off December’s sessions with a course sampler from Joe ‘Computo’ Caputo, a Hollywood-based producer and sound designer with a huge passion for modular synthesis. He has been teaching Sound Design at PBLA for over 2 years now alongside his regular event series, CNTRPNT. Having previously worked for Native Instruments and given training sessions to artists including Zedd, Flying Lotus and A-Trak, his knowledge and experience runs deep.

Point Blank Los Angeles Open House w/ Sweatson Klank – December 5, 7pm
As our finale event at PBLA this year, you’re invited to get to know some beat-making basics with PB Instructor Tom Wilson aka Sweatson Klank. This Open House event will also include an introduction to the full PBLA instructor team, together with a beat-making Q&A with Tom and a chance to tour the studios in full with Course Advisor Hart Thorson. We’ll also be giving away a free copy of the brand new Komplete 12 to one lucky attendee, so make sure you RSVP here to reserve your spot!
This session is for those who want to learn about the fundamentals of making beats from a true industry expert. Tom is another instructor with a huge amount of knowledge and experience under his belt, with original releases and remixes on a huge range of forward-thinking labels including Warp, Ghostly and Brainfeeder. More recently he has launched his own imprint, Tone & Manor, whose debut release features a number of PBLA alumni.
