Brand new culture site Nightmare Magazine is seeking presenters for its podcast series launching in summer

Nightmare Mag

Nightmare Magazine (nightmaredigital.com) is looking for enthusiastic music and culture lovers with the poise and confidence necessary to conduct interviews with some of the most exciting and influential figures in music and culture for what is an excellent opportunity for those looking to pursue a career in television, radio or even print journalism.

The first podcast is a ten episode, fortnightly series starting in June speaking to independent record label owners about the history and making of their labels, while also seeking key pieces of advice for those wanting to break into the industry themselves. We will cover a broad spectrum of music from indie to electronic to hip hop.

We’re seeking a fresh, intelligent voice with the ability to conduct interviews without dominating them, someone to coax out stories rather than overshadowing the subject. The lion’s share of the research will be done by the shows producer in advance of the shows, however personal research from the presenter is encouraged.

From the successful candidates we will require between two and three hours a week for pre production and taping of the show, which will take place in our studio at the Strongrooms, Shoreditch.

This role is unpaid for the first series while we seek sponsorship for the magazine as a whole. If you’re interested in applying, please email a CV and cover letter to Max Moran.
