Meet the Latest Expert Instructors to Join Us at pointblank London

With the advent of a new term here at pointblank in London, we are delighted to welcome a new batch of musicians and industry professionals to our team of expert instructors. As usual, these women and men truly deserve the denomination, having proven themselves with careers in the music industry spanning many years and plentiful achievements. Ceri Owens – Music Production

As a DJ, Ceri became known for mammoth sets in the darkness at Corsica Studios’ Sunday morning sessions, Jaded. As such, she developed a telepathic appreciation for the dancefloor that, along with taking her around the world, instilled her production with an innate appreciation with what makes people dance in whatever setting. Sets in Ibiza, Mexico and at Burning Man tell you everything you need to know about her stock as a DJ, while her tracks have been played by the likes of Richie Hawtin and Mr G. Lizzie Curious – Music Industry

Lizzie Curious is a DJ, vocalist, producer, label-head and radio host, and has plentiful experience as a tutor and instructor to go with it. With such a breadth of knowledge across so many aspects of the industry, she is a testament to where hard work and an insatiable desire to succeed can take you, and we cant think of anyone better to teach our students about getting ahead in the industry.

She has two US Billboard #1’s to her name, as well as over 40 releases over 15 years in music. Check Lizzie out on soundcloud to hear some of her productions and mixes.

Thomas Glendinning – Music Production

 

Tom began his musical career as a drummer but now spends most of his time dabbling with computer music and its various tools. He runs the music production website ELPHNT.co.za where he creates tools for making music with Ableton Live; Live Packs, MaxForLive devices, video tutorials and more.

He is one half of the audio-visual band Original Swimming Party, the founder of the Ableton User Group, Cape Town and regularly presents at Ableton User Groups around the UK.

Stavros Potamitis – Sound Design

 

With numerous number ones in the sample pack charts for the likes of Sample Magic, Cr2, Samplephonics and more, his music has featured on HBO, BBC and more. His productions charted on OFF Recordings, Babiczstyle, Chapter 24 Records, Parquet, Motek Music, Steyoyoke, Parallel and his own Inside Out Records.

Adi Winman – Audio for Games

Adi Winman has held various behind-the-scenes positions across many musical disciplines. In gaming, he has designed and synced sound for nine major racing titles including many in the classic MotoGP series. As an engineer, he has worked with the likes of Pulp, Suede and Jamiroquai. He has also helped developers such as N.I. and Sonic Couture to design plugins and has had a hand in the design of physical recording spaces.

To wrap it all up, he has multiple qualifications including MSc, MA and PGCE. Check out his full credits in both gaming and music.
