Calling all DJs! Although beatmatching by ear is a fundamental skill we teach here at Point Blank Music School, this tutorial will teach you a hack to get your tracks in sync using the CDJ bpm counters without them drifting at all.
This technique is ideal for when you’ve only got a limited time to blend your tracks or the bpm of your two tracks differ by a few decimal values. During the video, our Content Development Manager Ben Bristow shows you how you can perfectly mix two beats which may have slightly different speeds, even if the display tells you they’re in time.
If you’d like to get your skills up to scratch, check out our new online Essential DJ Skills Course. Plus, we’re currently offering 25% off selected online courses – so be sure to enrol before this offer ends on 15th June.
This isn’t the first DJ tips video we’ve done and it certainly won’t be the last. In our previous videos, we’ve covered lots of hot topics such as the top 5 mistakes DJs make, DJ do’s and don’ts as well as first look tech overviews. If you’re a beginner who’s looking to learn some quick techniques to spice up your sets be sure to check out our collaborative video series with Pioneer DJ.
