We’re excited to announce the launch of our newest course, the DJ/Producer Summer School. The summer school will take place over four weeks at Point Blank’s birthplace in one of the globe’s most iconic musical cities, London, and will give you the chance to learn how to produce music and DJ from the best in the business whilst experiencing the best the city has to offer. During your time at the DJ/Producer Summer School, as well as learning to DJ and produce with the latest gear at your fingertips, you’ll have the city on your doorstep. By night, you’ll have full free access to some of the city’s biggest club events, including Defected at Ministry of Sound, where you can immerse yourself in the music culture. We’ll also be giving all students free entry to 51st State Festival, which takes place in North London’s Trent Park on 3rd August and features sets from the likes of Carl Cox, Todd Terry, Soul Clap, Scott Garcia, Todd Edwards and more – as well as a number of bars and delicious food stalls.

So, once you’ve enrolled on the course what will it entail? The DJ/Producer Summer School is set to kick off in July 2019 and will include four daytime classes per week for a total of four weeks. During these classes, you’ll be introduced to music production where you will learn the ins and outs of Ableton Live 10. Following this, we will clue you up on music composition and cover everything from songwriting, rhythm, and timing to structuring and finishing your tracks. Learning to play your tracks live comes next with our Complete DJ module followed by our intense classes on creating remixes and bootleg tracks. The end of your London course sees a final night of partying and performance at DJ Mag’s Work Bar, where you get the chance to represent your newly-developed skills as a DJ / Producer.
