We’re back once again with Beatport to bring you the second season of their Beats In School competition. If you’re not familiar with how the competition works, all you have to do to enter is submit an original track that fits the sound of one of the partner labels that you’d like to be mentored by. This year’s label roster includes Claude Vonstroke’s club-heavy imprint Dirtybird, drum n bass giants Hospital Records and Deamau5’s Mau5trap and the Berlin-based Second State. There are a huge amount of prizes up for offer this year – and dare we say, they include some of the best giveaways and opportunities yet. The winner of the contest will win a year’s worth of direct A&R and mentoring from the label ambassadors of Dirtybird, Hospital, mau5trap and Second State, alongside a music education like no other – one of our acclaimed music production courses. You also have the chance to win a game-changing prize package featuring gear from ADAM Audio, Focusrite, MOOG, Novation, Roland, V-Moda and Waves Audio.
So, what are you waiting for? Hit the studio and enter the competition to lay a solid foundation for the rest of your music career. Remember to read ALL contest rules here and check out the video below. Good luck!
Entries for the competition close on 9th December so you’ll have plenty of time to cook up something special. To meet last year’s winner, who ended up with a release on Circus Records, and check out the competition standard head here.
If you want to enter competitions like this, but you feel like you’re production is not quite up to scratch yet, we offer a range of Music Production and Sound Engineering degrees. These cover everything from the ins and outs of Ableton Live, Logic Pro X, Native Instruments and Pro Tools to aspects of mixing, mastering, sound design and more.
