Student Opportunities: New Venue OMEARA Are Looking for Student Reps + More

We strive to give our students and alumni unique opportunities to get involved within the music industry. These come exclusively from our extensive network of industry contacts, and can range from DJ performance to internships and paid roles too. A New Space in London Bridge Is Looking for Student Reps

A brand new venue is coming to three arches beneath London Bridge. Comprising a music venue/club space, there will be a programme of live music, comedy and events in partnership with the Communion Presents team. Communion are a live music promoter and record label.

The space, called OMEARA, are looking for enthusiastic students to join their team to assist with the organising and running of some of their nights as Student Reps. They are looking for sociable people with a knowledge of London’s nightlife – if that sounds like you, why not get involved? Barn on the Farm Festival Are on the Lookout for Vocalists, Singer-Songwriters and Bands to Play Next Year’s Event

DAY 1

Over the past seven years, Barn on the Farm in Gloucester have created a music festival that has a strong emphasis on intimacy, blurring the gap between artist and audience. In 2014 Barn on the Farm was awarded ‘Best Independent Festival’ by the AIM Awards. Since then the festival has been shortlisted for Best Independent Festival, Best Festival for New Music, Best Small Festival and Best Grass Roots Festival. Previous artists to have taken to the barns include: Ed Sheeran, James Bay, George Ezra, Ben Howard, Hozier, Bastille, Catfish and the Battlement, Jack Garratt, Gabrielle Aplin, Oh Wonder, Bear’s Den and many more.

They are currently looking for emerging artists to perform at next year’s festival, taking place 29th June – 2nd July 2017. Whether you are a singer-songwriter or a band they initially are looking for an exceptional voice but beyond that they’re open to what you can offer.
