Back in 2020, we relaunched our in-house record label, Point Blank Recordings, with a new vision. Now, almost two years later, with numerous releases under our belt, some new hands on deck and a steadily growing roster of upcoming artists, Point Blank Recordings’ releases have racked up 3 million streams on Spotify alone.
Below, we’ve handpicked some of the best performing earworms from our PBR release catalogue for you to add to your playlists and enjoy over the holiday season.
Vivienne Chi x Harry Shadow – Dreams
This dream collaboration came to fruition when Ferocious Talent’s Vivienne Chi and up and coming producer Harry Shadow joined forces in the studio. The new track is a fresh reimaging of the Fleetwood Mac classic of the same name and sees the pair breathe new life into the nostalgic anthem for the new generation. Luscious pads, bright synths and punchy drums complement the striking vocal work from Chi creating an earworm that’s perfect for the warm summer months ahead. ‘Dreams’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
Paul Schulze & Adaptiv – Leave (Get Out) feat. AISHA.
‘Leave (Get Out)’ draws direct inspiration from the 2004 JoJo track of the same name but reinvigorates the 00s classic into a club-ready hybrid. Much like other tracks from the producer Paul Schulze (and collaborators Adaptiv), their latest cut for PBR offers uncharted dance-floor energy coupled with an emotive emphasis. Stream ‘Leave (Get Out) feat. AISHA.’ via the platform of your choice here.
Funk Cartel x Ultra Naté – Supernatural
‘Supernatural’ provides the club-ready energy we all needed for the re-opening of the music industry’s nightlife. Featuring hooky basslines, shuffling beats and slick melodies, coupled with Ultra Naté’s iconic, super-soulful vocals, ‘Supernatural’ is destined to become a summer anthem. The new track was released by Skint Records, (a subsidiary of BMG), home to some of the most dominant forces in dance music, including Fatboy Slim, Maya Jane Coles, Róisín Murphy, Hercules & Love Affair, Sailor & I, Jacob Plant, Toydrum and others. Originally signed by Point Blank Recordings, the new track was picked up by our friends over at BMG and sub-licensed to the industry powerhouse. Steam ‘Supernatural’ here.
